Ed Sheeran went the distance to help his buddy pop the big question [1]. On Sunday, Ed performed a special song while Rixton crooner Jake Roche asked girlfriend Jesy Nelson for her hand in marriage. The proposal came before her group, Little Mix, performed in Manchester, England, a city that holds a special meaning for the couple. "A year ago today I met her at Manchester Arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened," Jake captioned a picture of their special moment. "Best day of my life."
As Jake smiled widely on bended knee, Ed smiled in the background and performed the couple's favorite song. Jake later praised Ed for the gesture on Twitter. According to their sweet exchange, a tasty treat made it well worth Ed's time.
