Funny lady Ellen DeGeneres [1] got her start in television in the early '90s, and ever since, she's graced the world with her golden sense of humor. Not only can she put a smile on almost anyone's face (just ask Kanye West [2]), but she's also received several awards for her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show; appeared in a handful of films including Finding Nemo and Finding Dory; and even served as a judge on American Idol.
In addition to her onscreen success, she's also made a difference with her personal life. Ellen famously came out as a lesbian [3] on her sitcom in 1997 and graced the April cover of Time magazine [4] with the words "Yep, I'm Gay," written across it, inspiring many in the LGBT community. Ellen then went on to meet her wife, Portia de Rossi [5], who she's been with for more than 10 years [6]. To celebrate Ellen's time in the spotlight, we're looking back at her stunning Hollywood evolution.
