Ellen Page brought a very special date to the premiere of her film Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday: her girlfriend, artist Samantha Thomas. The couple, who was last spotted together in New York City in August [1], looked so in love as they held hands and posed for photos together. Ellen, who wore black pants, black boots, and a tie, gushed about Samantha [2] to E! News at the event. "I'm in love," she said. "Walking down the carpet holding my girlfriend's hand is pretty special. It's pretty awesome."

The actress came out as gay [3] while on stage at the Time to THRIVE conference in Las Vegas in 2014. "I'm here today because I am gay," Ellen said, "And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility."
