Monday night's Emmy Awards took a sharp left turn when Glenn Weiss, who won for his direction [1] at the 2018 Oscars, proposed in the middle of his acceptance speech. While speaking on stage, Glenn turned to his girlfriend and said, "Jan, you are the sunshine of my life, and Mom was right: don't ever let go of your sunshine. You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife."
