I was :ROTFL: at JT's video camera performance, there I was innocently minding my own business watching the Grammy's & all of a sudden I have a giant nose looming out of my TV at me!!! :o I enjoyed Xtina's performance byt I had no idea what she was singing, it certainly wasn't a song off her album :? And, uh, why did Queen Latifah refer to Al Gore as 'our vice-president'??? He looked a little suprised when she said that! And was it just me, or did anyone else notice Shakira & Wyclef mixing up their words? Wyclef appeared to be ad libbing with that whole 'we're at the Grammy's' blah di blah thrown into his rapping bit. But I thought their performance was pretty good. Gnarls Barkley bored me to tears & it seemed as though he was singing Crazy a bit too slowly...

Now my husband wants to go see The Police when they tour. It'll be fun.

the whole show was great. They gave a shout out to the one and only Grateful Dead. The Police, RHCP, the Eagles tribute, Carrie Underwood is making me like country. It's funny how everyone is saying Jess Simpson wishes she was Carrie Underwood. I can totally see it, if I were Jess, I would want to be as good a performer. I liked the Smokey, Lionel , Chris roundup, that was cool. The only act I turned off was Beyonce, she bores mw to tears.

"I think, maybe for the general public it's not quite as scary that blood thirsty satanist were out murdering children as it is too believe that parents are actually murdering thier own children." ~Damien Echols~ Off the subject but Prince is so freakin hot!!!

Stewart Copeland (Police drummer) is so hot for his age. Not only that, he is one of the best, craziest drummers in the world. Police music sounds really basic at first, but listen to the drums-he's insane with some of the rhythms he comes up with. A major part of their saound came from him more than sting really, though Sting is a baddass bassist. Im so glad they are back.
I only watched b/c of the police reunion. I was disappointed in their choice of song. Roxanne is o-k, but I would have loved to hear *synchronicity* or *every little thing...*that aside, Chris B's dance tribute to JB was marvelous! Christina kilt it on *'s world* The Eagles tribute was good, the Classic R&B tribute was good, the John Legend trio was good. Someone opined that DC won so much b/c of bush-hate votes... ~Let's Go~

I had to shut Christina off. She needs to stop oversinging everything. I thought Justin was great. I thought the Mayer, Legend, and Rae collaboration was perfection. The Dixie Chicks annoy me. I think they won everything because of pity. That record didn't deserve the accolades it got but anything that trashes those Bush loving, gun hugging idiots works for me.

OMG The Grammys were absolutely fantastic. Not so much the awards cos a lot of my faves didn't win but the performances were all outstanding. Each and every artist gave a knockout performances. I found my self cheering even the singers of whom I'm not a fan. My fave performances of the night: (in no particular order) Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake + Robyn Troup + TI, John Legend + Corinne Bailey Rae + John Mayer, Police, RHCP, Mary J Blige and finally Gnarls Barkley. What a night! What a night! Even though my faves didn't win it was still a helluva night.

I thought Corinne Bailey Rae was the best performer of the evening. What an amazing voice. I totally agree with the PP---what is the deal with Chris Brown performing at a music awards show and lip syncing?? Lame.

I thought most of it was a big snooze-fest. Loved that the Chicks won so many awards...kinda sends country radio the message that they can take their no-airplay vows and shove it! I have to say though...I was so over hearing Hips Don't Lie and Crazy that it made me detest the performances even though they weren't half bad. Loved Luda's performance, that is an amazing song and Mary J. added so much!

I loved the Police, Christina A and actually, I thought Beyonce did a great job with Listen. Those two girls have some serious pipes. Also, I thought Carrie Underwood did a great job with Desperado. Was anyone else annoyed that MJB and JT both got to perform twice? They were both good, but I just don't get how that happens. And did anyone else think the RHCP were a little lackluster during their song?

Carrie was great as was Christina! love them but Justin was by far the best of the evening! Both performances were unbelievable~ I loved his performance of "What Goes Around...Comes Around." I love the videocamera was just like his concert. Love him! And that girl Robin who won the contest was really good. I liked how they sounded together.

im glad that the dixie chicks did good...made a lot of people eat their words!(lots of people said that would never be welcomed back anywhere) and i thought Christina did really good too and im not a Christina fan! but chris brown was really bad, who DOESNT sing 3/4 of their own song on a music show and then when he does sing sounds 100% diff. than the recording!

The only thing about Christina's performance was that high note at the end. It made my ears bleed. Not cool. not cool. ****"Everything in life is only for now."-Avenue Q****
