Back of Gwyneth Paltrow Says She Used to Look Better Naked — Should She Just Stop Talking About Her Diet? Gwyneth Paltrow is Harper's Bazaar's May cover girl, and inside the magazine she opened up all about her work in Iron Man 2 and a recent stint in Nashville filming Love Don't Let Me Down. Even though she expressed her love for the city's fried food in a recent GOOP newsletter, Gwyneth still had some reservations about the region's cuisine. She said: On her diet in Nashville: "I was so bad with the food and alcohol in Nashville. If you saw me naked compared to what I looked like when I did Iron Man 2, when I was exercising every day — I'll get it back together, but I've never eaten so much fried food and white flour in my life, ever. Oh, God." On not exercising while filming Love Don't Let Me Down: "The director, Shana Feste, didn't want me to have any definition whatsoever, so I had to stop working out." It's the second time this week that Gwyneth's interviews raised eyebrows, after she talked to British Vogue about some friend drama. Gwyneth doesn't seem deterred, though, when it comes to talking about her diet or her approach to living in general. So, tell us — do you think Gwyneth should just stop talking about her diets? LaProfesora 7 years I understand that an interview is about asking her questions, like many are pointing out - but her MO extends further than this interview, and the point is that she ONLY talks about her privileged life. The newsletter is all about inviting others to see how well she lives. Personally I find her insulting, because when she thinks she is relating to "us", she really is only making it more obvious how she is anything but that. This is why people have turned against her, or are sick of her. She is an actor - just do your job, no one outside of an interview, really wants her opinion on anything else. karrots 7 years She's talks about it because reporters keep asking her about it. And she's pretty honest about it anyway. Chrissytd 7 years I agree with Macneil and GlowingMoon. Pixieshoes 7 years Starbucks, hit the nail on the head. GlowingMoon 7 years Truthfully, I think it's fine. I think she's just being honest about being mindful of what she eats, and her exercise habits. I like how open she is. I think she's better than some actresses who seem to fib about their bodies (like they could eat whatever they want, never exercise, they just have good genes, a fast metabolism, etc.). wicca_08 7 years I don't get her point. Frida83 7 years I absolutely don't get why people seem to hate Gwyneth. Do any of you know her? Do any of you actually know that she's stuck-up in person? I don't think so. So, she leads a healthy lifestyle and she likes to talk about it in interviews. If that bothers you so much don't read the interview or her newsletter. AbbyHintz 7 years She's so out of touch with what's normal, but somehow I find that quality endearing. samherlihy 7 years Ugh. She def seems uppity and preachy. But I'll tell you something: when someone talks about their diet/exercise/physique to the extent that she does it is indicative of a very poor body image. Being rich and famous with a body that most people would kill for can't erase that; nothing can. It's like that's the only place from which she feels she can derive worth. And for that reason only, I feel a little sorry for her. Sick of hearing about it, but sad that she dwells on it so freaking much. fashionplate525 7 years We have to remember this was an interview, so they most likely ASKED her these questions, and so what if she felt like responding. It humanizes her a little to know that after years of extreme diet and exercise she was able to let loose and have a lil fun. Although as Jessebanana said, I too, would feel gross after a while of eating greasy foods and not exercising. But she still looks great and I am sure is back to her healthy ways. naziazholesusuck 7 years agree 12. so unrealistic. cooking is time consuming, no to mention the clean and shopping for the food which i'm sure she never does. most celebs are completely out of touch with reality. jaan_black 7 years she has the baddest shoe collection...anywayz, she may need to STFU but she's not as bad as some people...her boobs started sagging years ago and she hasn't had a boob job yet so that says something lol...not sure what it says lol stellaRuby 7 years Starbucks said it all. cfp 7 years I really want to like Gwyneth Paltrow because I do think it's important to be healthy...but I think she has taken it to an extreme that is impossible to emulate. I'm all for celebrities living by example to teach fans (especially young and impressionable ones) to live healthy lifestyles. But let's face it. Gwyneth's "usual" diet, no alcohol, organic foods (cooked by a personal chef no less). It just isn't realistic for the rest of us. That's why I thought this whole Gywneth Paltrow as a lifestyle guru was BS. We can't live by her example without millions of dollars for expensive food, a personal trainer, chef, etc. qteepie 7 years Sourpuss Jessiebanana 7 years As much as I think she is thin enough as is and looks good, eating fried food all day and not being able to work out would make me feel gross. Muscle tone and definition is more attractive than squishy tissue no matter what size you are...it also feels better health wise. macneil 7 years No! We're the ones reading bloody interviews with her. She seems very level-headed, intelligent, good-natured and often funny, although I know the haters will never be persuaded of that. I really enjoy her Goop, the recent picture book recommendations were really helpful, I used a hotel recommendation from another newsletter, you don't have to read about a word she says, you don't have to click on the links, why do it just to hate her? If a friend of ours talked the same way we wouldn't say 'shut up, why do we need to hear you preaching to us?' babaloo 7 years I like her. If this is what she looks like without working out I look forward to seeing her when she does. As far as her yapping, I'd be happy if they all (Hollywood talent) would just shut their pie holes when they aren't shooting. They are self important and really have little to offer. PrincessLtrain 7 years Took the words RIGHT out of my mouth, Starbucks! anya82 7 years ^lol gwen's body is pretty great. she seems so classy and elegant...until she opens her mouth...sigh. oh wells at least Ironman2 looks good.
