"I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with."

The newly single mom to Nahla and Maceo also noted that despite the difficult time, she's very much looking forward to celebrating her 50th birthday next August. "I am not going to be defined by that number," she continued. "Yeah, it's coming. Yeah, so what? I am not going to be defined by that 5-0."
