During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live this week, Hilary Duff [1] opened up about how she felt when Aaron Carter tweeted that he loved her [2]. Hilary said, "It was so many years ago. I literally haven't see him in . . . So it's uncomfortable." When the show's other guest, Giada De Laurentiis, asked if Hilary had dated Aaron, Hilary explained, "Yes, I did. When I was 13. He was very sweet . . . when I was 13."

Aaron first talked about his feelings for Hilary back in March, when he posted a picture of her [3] and tweeted, "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her." In April, he told ET [4], "I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong." Recently, though, he seemed to be quieter on the subject — in a September interview, Aaron said [5], "I just need to shut up about it. She's got a kid and she's married and I'm not trying to be that dude. That's not my intention."
