Jamie Lynn's a Single Momma to Be

Jamie Lynn's a Single Momma to Be

It's pretty clear that Lynne Spears is not a mom we'd take advice from. As if Jamie Lynn's shocking pregnancy wasn't already sad enough, Life & Style is reporting that that she and the baby's father Casey Aldridge aren't even seeing each other anymore.

Apparently the couple has broken up a few times in the past, and they have no plans to get married. According to Jamie Lynn's interview in OK! Casey has been supportive even though they had not planned this and were both shocked by the news themselves.

Jamie Lynn also discussed her desires to learn the sex of the baby, morning sickness and her hopes for a healthy baby. To read more quotes just

Here are some highlights from CBB:

On the sex of the baby:
I want to find out as soon as I can because I'm impatient. I just want a healthy, happy baby, so the whether it's a boy or a girl really doesn't matter.

On names:
I haven't thought about baby names yet. I would have to hear some options!

On morning sickness:
I definitely had sickness, but it's getting better. It was at its worst a few weeks ago.

On believing she'll be a good mom:
I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love. I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great. All my friends have little brothers or sisters.

On Casey as a father:
He has always been good with babies. He's like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I know he'll make a good dad.

Her hopes for 2008:
Just to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy and for everything to fall in place and to become a stronger person from here.

Advice from Lynne:
To be strong.

I wish everyone would get off of Jamie Lynn's back. She is 16, and they make mistakes. Granted it's a big one and she realizes it. She is'nt playing it down, and she said it was a big mistake. The people trying to take her show off the air should be ashamed of themselves. Believe me, just because she is prenant does'nt mean your daughters will do the same thing. She was a good role model before this and really I think she still is. She spent weeks thinking how she was going to handle it, by herself and that must be so scary. She is keeping the baby and we all know that she could have done something else. I believe she has the strength that her sister has'nt and she will succeed. So keep her show on the air, don't put the youngster down and give her the love and support she needs right now.

All I have to say is - It's not that big a deal. Damn, they used to marry girls off right after they started their periods so they could make tons of babies by the time they were Jamie Lynn's age. Nobody cared then. In many countries, the age of consent is below 18, and even in the US most states allow minors to marry with parental consent. As for wearing makeup and dating at a young age - also, not that big of a deal. I was wearing makeup by the time I was 12 and my parents had no restrictions about me dating. And you know what? I kept my virginity until not long ago (I'm 19) and the boy and I have been together for quite some time. I think placing harsh restrictions on kids is more likely to make them act irresponsibly than having fewer restrictions. Honestly, this all sounds like something Jamie Lynn did subconsciously in an attempt to finally get some attention from her mother.

Come on, guys... She's way less screwed up than Britney. She'll probably be a better mother. You can't take these interviews too seriously. She's trying to tell the magazine what they want to hear, and trying not to sound scared. There are so many girls out there who get pregnant at 16. Just because she's famous doesn't mean she's immature or irresponsible for getting pregnant so early. I'm not even 16 yet and I don't view this as making teen pregnancy okay... most girls in the real world have a good head on their shoulders and one 16-year-old celebrity getting pregnant is not going to make us go out and do it ourselves.

1.I really don't understand why announcing a pregnany to a tabloid would seem like an appropriate option...you don't see angelina or j.lo going on the cover and announcing their personal business to the world. 2. With that said, I don't think she deserves such harsh judgement, sorry but she obviously made a mistake and I think its really brave of her to put her career in jeopardy for the pregnancy instead of having an abortion and no one ever knowing. We shouldn't judge her so much, the only difference between her and the others is she forgot her protection so don't single her out.

Deba, it doesnt matter WHEN they started dating, by law a 19 year old cannot have sex with a 16 year old.

"from 2 to like 16 year olds watch this show and at 5 and 6 years old, no they dont need to know that u push a baby out from downt here, that'll scare the hell out of them!" I was seven when I got the talk. And I wasn't scared. And, no, I didn't have sex when I was 12. And I'm 23 and still not preggers... But just think of it this way, would you want your kid to hear it from other kids on the playground? Don't assume the kids who get the talk early don't talk... And why would you have to say something like "oh the mommie gets horrible cramps then pushes the baby's head out, which is really way too big.." lol My mom just said it comes out down below and the body adjusts to it when you're grown up. And I was like..ok cool. Problem solved ;) And a 3 year old is happy with the "it comes out of mommie's belly"-answer lol

"To be a really good mom, I feel your child needs to be your full time job. I want to raise my kids and share all of those precious moments with them and not rely on nannies." Am I the only one finding this quote from Britney before she had kids funny? I guess her opinions on parenting have changed. If a four year old asks where babies come from, you don't have to give them a detailed answer! Lots of kids ask where babies come from.

Yeah, sure her Mum did a great job in raising her kids, not.

Also, abstinence only sex education is taught in 35% of schools in the US. Studies have shown that it only increases STDs and pregnancy.

mandiemeg, I agree, small town mentality DOES create many young mothers. In my boyfriends home town, if a boy would go to the pharmacy to get condoms, the pharmacist would call his parents!! There were no Planned Parenthoods to give girls birth control, and so kids take risks. I also agree that many, many, many people ran with the RUMOR that she was living with the baby daddy. I think it is good that Ginger clarified that, because even CNN was printing that RUMOR in their articles...even though it had no foundation and was created by Perez.

Well, on the *bright* side, if they're broken up, she won't be pulling the stunt her sister did and popping out two babies back to back with him...hopefully. Who would have thought though, that Britney *gulp* had the moral highroad here? Her children were both born within marriage.

JL now has a child to raise. It starts right now. She needs to put herself in the proper frame of mind to be healthy and happy for the baby. It starts NOW! We can all say it's not right, it's unacceptable, she should be ashamed, she should hang her head, go into hiding, turn down her last paycheck (a million buys a lot of diapers), whatever. Hindsight is remarkably 20/20 but totally worthless toward changing what has she has ALREADY done. However she feels about herself and the responsibility of raising a child (which I'm sure she KNOWS is no picnic), it's time to put on a game face, time to prepare mentally and emotionally (that's what pregnancy is for). If her words sound immature, it's because she IS immature. But she has made a decision and she needs to start living it... TODAY... in a positive way. How tragic would it be for an innocent child to be born to a mother who feels really bad about her decisions, is embarrassed to have a baby, and tries to hide from the world and surrounded by other family members who are disappointed, bitter and angry?

Her quotes just proof that she's not mature enough to be a mother.. That's sad..

jenny, nothings wrong with talking with your kids about sex but do you not understand the wide age spand of this show??? from 2 to like 16 year olds watch this show and at 5 and 6 years old, no they dont need to know that u push a baby out from downt here, that'll scare the hell out of them! their supposed to be young and not know all that shit so early, them learning it TOO early, opens them up to it and their more curious!! then its REAL bad! i didnt get the stupid "birds and the bees talk" until i was like 12 and that was ONLY because we had some sex program at school. i knew certain things but i didnt know EVERYTHING! your not supposed to when your that young! she is a big influence on all ages of kids and no shes not a BAD person for it but she DEFINATELY could have been smarter!! lets see, condoms, BC, pull out....theres plenty u can do to prevent getting pregnant!! im not and ive been in a relationship for over 4 years! she dated him...thats a big difference! point is, some kids are too young to HAVE to know and so yeah its causing a huge uproar for parents considering their having to have "the talk" WAAAAAAAY before they planned all because "ZOEY" got pregnant and its all over the news! role model my ass....its going to be a CHILD raising a CHILD which isnt right....im glad shes being responsible because she is financially stable, but its not a good influence on the kids who arnt rolling in money like her that look up to her....

Isn't this dangerous for Jamie's health? Pregnancy takes a big toll on your body. I heard it's very risky for a girl who's only 16 yrs old.

Mommy, daddy, and all their children seem to be uneducation, unaware, immature, and now at a complete loss. They are all sad cases. And they look even worse making their situations public on purpose.

I agree spitfire and had to laugh at the comment right below yours. I knew girls in school that used those words all the time, white trash/trailor trash, they were mean girls and acted like people who didn't live in a trailor were SO much better, which is a freaking joke! Some of the nicest and most trustworthy people I've known live in a trailor. If you have a problem with someone like Britney or her sister then state the freaking problem, like being an unfit mother, or a drug user, or what ever, don't resort to childish name calling, it only makes the person saying it look that much more ignorant in that's all they could come up with.
