Jennifer Garner [1] radiated happiness when she stepped out to host the third annual Save the Children Illumination Gala in New York City on Tuesday night. Jennifer, who stunned in a long black dress, flashed her adorable smile while posing for photos on the red carpet. Once inside the event, which had a special performance by Brad Paisley and honored actress Olivia Wilde [2], the actress took the stage to give a speech.

The fancy outing comes on the heels of a busy few weeks for Jennifer. After stepping out for numerous solo outings, including coffee runs [3], trips to the gym [4], and farmers market visits [5], the actress had a sweet family day with her ex Ben Affleck [6] and their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
