It isn't a party without at least one of the Kardashian-Jenners present. On Monday, Kim Kardashian [1] and Kendall and Kylie Jenner attended the Met Gala in NYC. While the mom of North and Saint [2] looked elegant in her simple white gown and minimal jewelry, her little sisters both went for something a bit more flashy. Kylie wore a flapper-like number and Kendall opted for a barely there black dress [3]. Of course, one member of the famous clan was missing [4] during the event: Kanye West [5].

According to People, Kim's husband wasn't ready to return to the red carpet [6] following his mental breakdown and hospitalization [7] last year. "He's not going because he's not ready to start attending big events," a source told the magazine. "He's doing great but wants to keep his stress levels low and just wants to take more time off. Kim and Kanye are in a great place." Looks like the three ladies managed to hold down the fort in his absence.
