Karlie Kloss Just Addressed Taylor Swift's Recent Comments About Their "Girl Gang"

Just in case you were wondering, and we're going to assume you were, Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss are on good terms [1]. On Thursday night, Karlie and her Project Runway [2] costar Christian Siriano sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live [3], and when it came time for fan questions, one caller couldn't help but ask about where Karlie and Taylor stand. Swifties and non-Swifties alike know that Karlie and Taylor were super close [4] over the last few years. Karlie was a proud member of Taylor's solidified "girl gang," [5] and then they were rumored to have fallen out [6].

Earlier this month, Taylor wrote an essay for Elle where she said that the "squad" didn't help alleviate insecurities [7] she had as a child. "In my twenties I found myself surrounded by girls who wanted to be my friend. So I shouted it from the rooftops, posted pictures, and celebrated my newfound acceptance into a sisterhood, without realizing that other people might still feel the way I did when I felt so alone," Taylor wrote. "It's important to address our long-standing issues before we turn into the living embodiment of them."

When Karlie was asked about the essay and these comments on WWHL, she couldn't help but gush over Taylor and give everyone wondering an update on where they stand. "I feel really lucky to call her a friend," she said. Watch the video above and see how Karlie responded (around the 1:55 mark).
