Kate Middleton gave her first public address as a member of the royal family at the East Anglia Children's Hospice at the Treehouse center in Ipswich, near London, today. The Duchess picked a Reiss dress in a beautiful shade of blue for the occasion — one that her mother Carole Middleton has actually worn before! — and shared a few words with a speech she wrote herself. Kate spoke for about three minutes and praised the organization for its inspirational work. After thanking everyone for welcoming her, Kate said, "I am only sorry that William can't be here today. A view of his — that I share — is that through teamwork, so much can be achieved. What you have all achieved is extraordinary."
