Katie Holmes on Broadway

Would You Pay to See Katie Holmes on Broadway?

Katie Holmes' Mad Money wasn't exactly a hit at the box office last January, and word on the street is that she's looking to mix things up for her next project. Supposedly she's in final talks to take on Broadway in a revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. It's not as exciting as a big musical, but tell us — would you pay to see Katie Holmes on Broadway?

Hell no, I would not pay to see her on Broadway. Furthermore, I don't need to see her on the big screen either. In fact, I hate all the constant pr/coverage on her especially since she has become Mrs. Cruise.

Katie should do a musical because she's a terrific singer and dancer. This situation is bad for me because Im no New Yorker and Im a struggling college student so I wont be able to watch Holmes. With her promising gifts tho I think she will help the struggling tickets of Broadway because of her fans add the curious ones and bloodthirsty critics. Include heavyweights from the biz who are curious and her celeb family & friends who will be watching her.

I voted no only because Im not into Broadways but more into the movies kind of gal. No offense to the artsy types. LOL! This move of hers is reminiscent of what she's been doing all along after her Creek series ended. She always chose low indie flicks except Batman because that time no one even cared about Batman anymore but she did it for director Nolan. Rachel Dawes was also created after her by Nolan and Goyer. Now she's back to her low profile projects but good for her about to fulfill her Broadway dream. She was willing to give up her big Hollywood dream Dawson's Creek for her High School Musical Play "Damn Yankees" in Notre Dame and did that move picking a small budget comedy Mad Money over The Dark Knight because let's face its the Joker and Batman who gets to do the biggie stuff while gf's are just damsels in distress. FYI.......Mad Money only cost 12.7 million by a new small studio Overture but it earned 21 million. DVD is out this May 2008.

Im nowhere this production so I would to see her but I cant. Funny only Katie's movie that was still decent was reported flop when many actresses inclusing Oscar winners do so badly at the box office. Talk about biased and unfair unprofessional reporting. i.e. Reese Witherspoon's movies i.e. Scarlett and Portman's movies Halle Barry,Hilary Swank,Kidman,Charlize Theron and many others.

She needs to do a decent film before tackling Broadway.

I've never seen her in anything. Since she has enough money, I'll keep mine, thanks.

No thanks. She's pretty hit and miss with her movies - good in Pieces of April, bad in Batman and Mad money. So asking her to bring it every night on Broadway would be a little out of her reach I think. And anyways in interviews and stuff she always seems a bit blah - lacking personality, so i'm thinking she wouldn't be the most radiant person on stage.

If most of us do NOT want to see her in movies, then we sure as hel* don't want to see her on stage. So NO NO NO! And I could not vote no up there because what came after was not right to say. We should be able to vote "No, I don't like her in the movies either".

I don't really want to see her in any role. I haven't liked any character she's played - I even found her annoying as Joey. Katie Holmes' only claim to fame is her marriage to Tom Cruise and her terrible acting.

NO way! I remember when she sang on Dawson's Creek - back in the day. She has a squeeky, high-pitched, little girl voice. PASS~!

Tom is going to let Katie be on Broadway?

can she sing??? does she even have a TINY singing role in her movies? I only know her as the wife of Cruise, girl in batman, and mother of alien-child-but-cute-Suri.

I'm so tired of all these marginal actors deciding to take to the stage like it's just another thing to do, AND being given that opportunity when they just aren't up to the task. Jennifer Garner but she was so out of her league in Cyrano, and she can at least act. But Katie Holmes? Puhlease.

I think she should try it as it's a good way to improve acting chops, many actors do that and then do films afterwards. And Mad Money did ok at the box office, it will make proper profit for the studio once it is out on DVD and rentals. Granted she has not been in many films, most of them have been hits.

I'll stick to looking at pictures of her. She is stunning.

I hope this is off, off, off, off, off, off, off, off Broadway, because I'd hate to see that's what the stage has come to.

Right on, cubadog. So sick of her and Tom.

I voted 'Other' because my answer is 'No' but it's because I don't want a cent of my money ending up in the pocket of Tom Cruise.
