Kelly Ripa Chokes Up While Talking About Her Son's Dyslexia, Makes Ryan Seacrest Cry

Kelly Ripa [1] has been open about her 14-year-old son Joaquin's struggle with dyslexia [2] in the past, and on Wednesday's episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, she broke down in tears while giving Ryan Seacrest [3] an update on how he's doing in high school. "A lot of you that watch the show know that he has dyslexia and dysgraphia [a learning disability that affects one's writing skills], so school has always been a very big challenge for us in our household," Kelly explained. "He's getting straight A's . . . he's doing great." But Kelly wasn't the only one who got emotional; her revelation even got Ryan a little choked up. "When my mom cries, it makes me cry, so when you cry, it makes me cry," Ryan said. You might want to grab some tissues before watching these clips.
