How Lea Michele Turned Hers and Cory's "Insane Love" Into Strength

Lea Michele graces Teen Vogue's March cover, and inside the publication, she opens up even more about the loss of boyfriend Cory Monteith, her upcoming album, and how she never thought she would be so famous. We've seen plenty of interviews before, but this one has an interesting twist: it was conducted by Lea's best friend and star of HBO's Looking, Jonathan Groff. You can read the full interview in Teen Vogue, out Feb. 4. In the meantime, here are our favorite quotes from the sneak peek.

On her unexpected fame: "It's so crazy. If you told me then that now we'd be here doing an interview because I was on the cover of Teen Vogue for my album . . . I would be like, you are crazy!"

On her decision to record an album: "During Glee, I felt like I was scratching that itch of being an artist. I was at a great place in my life, and I was so unbelievably happy — my relationship with Cory made me feel like I could reach for the stars and more. So I was like, 'I'm going to challenge myself and do this record now.' It's obviously pop, but I think it shows me off as a singer."
