At the Met Gala on Monday night, it seemed like the event's lucky guests interpreted the theme in one of three ways: bright colors and shades of gold [1], pure white [2], or all-black everything. Madonna [3] opted for the latter, arriving on the red carpet [4] in a voluminous black gown that was the perfect blend of high fashion and goth prom queen (translation: she might cast a spell on you if you step on her train, but at least it'll be with a designer spell book). She topped off the daring look with a bouquet of black roses, a fishnet veil, and a glittering white and gold crown decked out with numerous crosses to keep with the night's official theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination."
