Mandy Moore Says She's "Totally Ready to Have Kids Now" Thanks to This Is Us

Mandy Moore might play a loving mother to three children on NBC's This Is Us, but is she ready to start a family in real life? During an interview with Conan O'Brien on Wednesday night, the 32-year-old actress revealed that playing matriarch Rebecca Pearson has completely turned her on to the idea of motherhood because of all the scenes she shares with the show's young child actors. "I mean, we get to hold these newborn children, and I can't believe their parents were willing to hand over their babies to me," she said about the flashback scenes of Rebecca's young kids. "I'm like, 'Hi, I'm Mandy. I have absolutely no experience with small children,' and they're like, 'Here's my 2-week-old baby.'"

Mandy was married to musician Ryan Adams for nearly six years until their 2015 divorce, but it certainly seems like she hasn't ruled out having children with current boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith. "I didn't know how to change a diaper," she said. "I had crew members showing me how to change a diaper. I'm terrible, but yes it has sort of activated that maternal side of me that I'm totally ready to have kids now." Even if kids aren't in her immediate future, who wouldn't want "expert diaper-changer" on their résumé?
