Miley Cyrus [1] turned heads when she arrived at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's 46th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards, an event that honors gay rights activists [2], in LA on Saturday. Miley posed for photos alongside Lily Tomlin and honoree Jane Fonda before taking the stage inside to accept the vanguard award for her nonprofit organization, the Happy Hippy Foundation [3]. At one point, Miley even licked a piano donated by Ruby Rose [4] to help auction it off. Miley has been a gay rights activist for quite some time now. She has an equal sign tattooed on her finger, and in an article she wrote for Glamour [5], she explained, "I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties."
