Natalie Portman's Baby Named Aleph Millepied

Natalie Portman's Baby Name Revealed: Aleph Millepied

It's official: Natalie Portman's son is named Aleph Millepied! Natalie Portman gave birth in mid-June, though we've yet to see the little guy, Natalie's fiancé, Benjamin Millepied, or the Oscar-winning actress herself since. Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and as well as the Hebrew number one. Hopefully the hot Summer months will mean the family venturing out to explore around home in NYC, but until then it's exciting to learn more about Natalie's bundle of joy.

All those people calling their first born "first" (whatever the language they use to do it) only remind me of the Neil Gaiman book (and then movie) Stardust with all the stupid brothers : Primus, Secundus, Tertius, Quartus, Quintus, Sextus and Septimus!!!!! (let's not forhet their sister Una)...

beautiful disaster, people will eff up the pronunciation. This is a fact. I've already heard a news reporter pronounce it as 'a leaf'. Nuff said.
She finally had the baby! Seemed like she was pregnant for 2 years!

Did she say the child is Aleph Millepied? Couldn't it be Aleph Portman?

It's also the first letter in the arabic alphabet. I can't wait to hear everyone try to pronounce that name. It sounds very beautiful when pronounced correctly but I always thought she was going to pick a classic name.

Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, not Aleph. Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The number 1 in Hebrew is "echad." What, you don't have any Jewish fact-checkers?!
