If you thought the jaw-dropping mix-up of La La Land and Moonlight for winner of best picture [4] was the most insane thing that happened at the Oscars on Sunday night, you'd be wrong. Nicole Kidman sat front row with husband Keith Urban [5], where the cameras captured her clapping excitedly for each and every winner [6]. That's when the internet realized that Nicole's clapping technique is . . . interesting, to say the least. Less like a human being and more like a robot running out of juice, her claps simultaneously entertained and horrified Twitter users, although someone helpfully pointed out [7] that maybe Nicole was clapping that way because of the rings she was wearing (honestly, we're not convinced).
