Nipsey Hussle's Emotional BET Awards Tribute Will Break Your Heart in 2

It's been almost three months since Nispey Hussle died, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. On Sunday, the late rapper's family and friends — including long-time girlfriend Lauren London, mom Angelique Smith, grandmother Boutte Smith, T.I., John Legend, Marsha Ambrosius, and DJ Khaled — all honored him by accepting the humanitarian award on his behalf and delivering a beautiful musical performance. During his speech, T.I. called Nipsey "revolutionary" and praised his philanthropic efforts. "There will never be another Nipsey Hussle," he said. "He inspired people across the world; many are still discovering how legendary he really was. . . . He was a real one, a true king."

Nipsey's mom also shared a special story about spirituality, recalling the days before his death. "He was nesting for his spirit to be born," she said. Nipsey was 33 when he was fatally shot outside of his Marathon Clothing store in LA on March 31. He is survived by his two children, son Kross and daughter Emani Asghedom.
