"This was a global tragedy," President Barack Obama said during a press conference on Friday, referring to the shooting down of a Malaysia Airlines plane over Ukraine. While some details are still unclear, it's believed that a surface-to-air missile took down the jet, and 298 passengers were killed. The president revealed [1] that there was "at least" one American citizen aboard the plane, Quinn Lucas Shanzmen, and he said that "evidence indicates that the plane was shot down" by pro-Russian rebels. Obama also called for an immediate cease-fire in Ukraine, noting, "There has to be a credible, international investigation."
