lol Ashlyn+Rose, my abnormal psych class is talking about personality disorders now and when we got to narcissistic personality disorders, my professor threw in a comment about how those people like to be the center of attention and that's how we get phrases like "that's hot." I laughed so hard... =)

I really like those soft focus watercolors. Maybe after Paris is released the Hiltons can hire the artist to do a family portrait. You know, for over the mantel piece. ;)

But, the jokes are constant because of her actions. If she weren't constantly caught in compromising positions that she knowingly put herself in, there would be no need for people to talk about her. I don't feel sorry for her at all. You reap what you sow, after all.

I've never been a fan of Paris and some of her words and deeds. But she seems very fragile, and I don't wish her any harm. I think she's upset about much more than just being in jail. She relies on her looks and antics to make money. I guess that's what her peers have reinforced as the only thing she has going for her. Being a jailbird kinda damages that prince$$ image she's flaunted for years, and thus, her ability to support herself. Paris once told police that she's "like, not that smart". That comment stuck with me because the questions she was being asked had nothing to do with intelligence. Her answer seemed indicative of her true self-image, and contradicts her public facade of unwavering confidence. And put yourself in her shoes. Imagine sitting at a televised event and having the hostess make crass sexual "jokes" about you. the relentless criticism Paris receives would make me a basket case w/o the jail cell. All of this adds up and for Paris, this might unfortunately be her breaking point.

Yes Ginger that was the first thing I thought of..she's supposedly not eating, very withdrawn, and exhausted from staying awake for 36 hours, AND on psychotropic drugs but then tonight she drafts a letter to the public announcing she's withdrawing her appeal..LOL I had to laugh...if she thought there was a snow balls chance in hell to get out you know she's be first in line screaming "Keys please"...

The Sheriff should be held for contempt. Even if he thought she was "deteriorating" he ignored what the judge had specified about no electronic devices. The whole thing stinks. Medical condition, yeah, right. She should just do her time and SHUT UP. The girl is spoiled rotten and her sentence was within the parameters of what can be given for the offense. What really disgusts me is how much more fame and money this is going to bring an airheaded fake girl who became famous for her little porno tape. Her parents must be so proud.

NEWS ** NEWS ** NEWS ** NEWS Paris is not going to appeal. There's a whole big fake statement about it at TMZ, which you know was drafted by someone other than her, about how she has learned a lesson and people should pay attention to more important stuff in the world like the troops in Iraq. (Like Paris even knew we had troops in Iraq?) I assume that means her lawyers figured there wasn't much chance of winning an appeal.

I am so glad she is finally learning a lesson. For the first time in her life she is realizing that her parents money will not get her what she wants. She thought she could get on house arrest and have parties and still live her lifestyle while finishing her punishment. She should have to do the whole 45 days in jail. She did wrong and she needs to face the consequences.Hopefully Nicole Richie and all the others will learn from her and realize that money doesn't buy everything.

Very good points spitfire. Everybody in support of Paris seems to conviently shift her crime from violation of probation to drunk driving. The probation was the punishment for the drunk driving and she couldn't even maturely deal with that slap on the wrist. Seriously, how irresposible does it make her look to claim she didn't even know her license was suspended? Nobody's life is so hectic that they just forget they've been forbidden by law to drive. She really was her own worst enemy in all this. Showing up late to court? Big mistake. Telling the press that cops only pull you over to hit on you? Bad idea. Drivign drunk in the first place when you can afford to hire a driver? Very stupid. Driving with a suspended license? Seriously, how can anyone be that dumb?

Are you guys serious. The sheriff said that the judge is treating her harshly BECAUSE she is a public figure. He knows that the whole world is watching her, and he knows that he will look better if he makes her sit there. There was even a lawyer who has been up against Judge Sauer that said, he has had people in the same boat as Paris and they got 30 days and had to serve ten percent of their sentence which is three days. Paris served five. She served her time now leave her alone!

Many of you are forgetting the REAL Paris we're talking about here...first off..how many times was she photographed smoking pot? Many...how many times did she get into fender benders where she just drove off? Twice I think...She has been let off the hook many times...for those of you who are saying no one gets put in jail for a traffic violation...PLEASEEEE...she is in jail for the 999,999,000 time because she BROKE PROBATION..not a traffic violation..her driver's license was SUSPENDED..in Missouri if you get caught driving on a suspended licence it's an automatic 3 days in jail..and that's with a clean record..not on PROBATION like Paris was...she breaks the law and never thought in her wildest dreams that she would have to spend one night in jail...she thought that either her status, her money, or her lies (I didn't know my license was suspended) would get her out of it...well...it didn't and it shouldn't.

Other sites are tripping over each other to get exclusive inside tips, and one reports that the reason she's not being medicated in the jail medical facility right now is because she already has some unstated substance in her system, and they don't want to cause a potential adverse reaction. Sounds like detox, so of course she's feeling despondant, withdrawn, having shakes, etc. Of course if the sheriff hadn't let her go home this week, she wouldn't have that issue right now.

What I find even more ironic is the fact that because she is who she is, she has no bunkmate, she has less time out of her cell because she is famous and its for her own safety. If she was an average joe like you and I, she would be in with the rest of the population, have someone to talk to and have more than 1 hour out of her cell a day...Seems like when you in jail being someone famous is a bigger bitch!
sarah100682 sarah100682 10 years
I cannot understand how anyone can feel sorry for the girl. She did this all to herself!!!! Whether she was treated too harsh or not harsh enough she needed to be taught a lesson! The fact that she drove around on a suspended license KNOWING that pictures would be taken of her breaking her probation proves that she has no reguard for the law and feels that she is above the law...she needed to be knocked down a level and its finally happened...she was told NO and doesn't know how to handle it. She has always bought her way out of everything...and it didn't work this time. And I for one, am a huge fan of that judge!!!!!! I hope to God Paris learns her lesson. But the fact that she had planned parties at her home after she was put on house arrest, shows its going to take more than 4 days in jail to teach her anything!

How completely and utterly disturbing that this brainless, skanky, putridly arrogant and talentless ho-bag has any fans at all. This completely boggles my mind. I guess the human race is doomed, after all. (at least, Americans). She's throwing a temper tantrum because just as others have said, this is the first time in her life that she's actually being held accountable for her actions. She's used to Mom and Dad and her family fortune bailing her out for all her atrotious behavior; right now she's suddenly realising that she's mortal, after all. THAT'S what her "mental breakdown" is about. She can't believe that her fortune and fame doesn't put her above the law, after all. I hope she spends 45 miserable days in jail, and thinks about every one of those days next time she has to make a decision between driving intoxicated, or calling a cab/friend/limo.

The irony is that she will more than likely leann NOTHING from this experience.. cause in her fucked up mind she is the victim and everyone else is being demonized. Poor little entitled me! I just hope (long shot) that when she gets out no one wants to be associated with her anymore and all of the paid party invites dissappear. All of the Bondi Beer promos and vodka promos run dry. The Simple Life gets dumped. Here perfumes crap out. Actually the record lapel already dumped her ..so thats a start. That would actually be a lesson to her.

Let her refuse to eat and stomp her feet. And the fact is, if she is on medications that are physician supplied, she would most certainly be allowed to take them while in jail - she would be taken to the infirmary at med time and have them administered.

i do not feel bad for her at all. she is a spoiled brat who isn't even in the real prison, she has a cell all to herself and has been getting special treatment and is STILL complaining about it. paris hilton has needed a reality check for a long time and this is it. i think i'm in love with that judge.
Ginger Ginger 10 years
All this crying, refusing to eat or sleep, sounds like the tantrum of a 5 year old. She thinks she can whine & pound her feet until they let her out. Hopefully the system will be the tough parent she never had and keep her in until she grows up a little and comprehends her crimes.

ok this is gettin out of hand, there's people who actually support paris (and thats ur choice if u do, no ones stopping you) and the majority doesn't. The fact of the matter is, she did something horrible which was drunk driving thats ALL that really matters, all this DRAMA wouldn't have happened in the first place if she never drove drunk, why can't people get that? It doesn't really matter (to me anyway) how many days she spends in jail or what kind of punishment, unfair or not, that she gets, as long as she actually learns something from this. Nobody in the whole freaking world can get what they want just based on their looks or their family name! I dont care if ur paris or if ur Oprah, just because you are famous or have ur name in the tabloids does not mean you are above everyone else! There are more important things in the world to worry about and THERE ARE PEOPLE DYING in WAR, in third world countries, that are going through way worse things than PARIS is. SO she should stop feeling sorry for herself!
