Paris Hilton took to Instagram on Monday to give a special shout-out to her lifelong friend [3] Nicole Richie on her 34th birthday. Paris posted two childhood photos of her and Nicole, with the caption, "Happy Birthday @NicoleRichie! So many special memories since we were little girls! Sending you lots of love, happiness & birthday wishes! Love always, Paris."
The sweet message may come as a surprise to many, as the two have endured some rocky patches in their relationship since wrapping their hilarious reality show, The Simple Life, in 2007. But while the two aren't as close as they used to be, their friendship is definitely still an important part of both of their lives. Earlier this year, Paris posted another adorable flashback photo of the pair in fairy costumes [4], writing, "#Tinkerbells."
