Oct 28 2014 - 6:07am

Did Paul Rudd [1] play the hero when a homophobic passenger attacked a man at an airport in Dallas? No, but his look-alike did. Earlier this week, a video went viral showing passengers breaking up a disturbing homophobic attack at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. While waiting outside a gate, a man was seen screaming and kicking a fellow passenger for wearing a pink shirt [2]. Other passengers soon swooped in to rescue the man who was being attacked, and one of the men happened to bear a strong resemblance to Paul. Naturally, the idea of party-throwing Paul [3] coming to someone's aid soon caught on, and #PaulRuddSavesLive started to trend on Twitter. However, the actor's rep said that Paul was thousands of miles away during the attack [4], as he was cheering on the Royals in his hometown of Kansas City, MO. But if fans are really eager to see Paul in hero form, they can catch him in his upcoming Marvel superhero flick, Ant-Man, which is slated to hit theaters next Summer.
