Pharrell Williams stepped onto the Oscars red carpet with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, wearing shorts! The cropped tuxedo look [1] was a departure from the sea of long pants, but once inside the show, Pharrell joined the pants party. He also brought out his favorite accessory of late — his Vivienne Westwood hat [2], for his performance of "Happy," which was the first musical number of the night. He mixed things up during the song by getting stars, including Amy Adams [3], Meryl Streep [4], and Lupita Nyong'o, out of their front-row seats to dance.
