Photos of Angelina Jolie in Dominican Republic on Behalf of Haiti Relief

Angelina Heads From the Super Bowl to Haiti Relief in the DR

Angelina Jolie traded heavy PDA and Super Bowl cheering with Brad and Maddox for more serious fare in the Dominican Republic yesterday. The UN global ambassador met with the country's president Leonel Fernandez to speak with him about the situation in Haiti as well as visit a local hospital to talk to refugees from the nation devastated by the recent earthquake. In the wake of the tragedy, Angelina and Brad donated one million in aid, though only he came out to answer phones at George Clooney's huge telethon. While Angelina was busy on this important business in the DR, Brad was in charge of traveling with satisfied Saints fan Maddox and their lawyers were taking action against the recent breakup report.

anonymous comments are beyond annoying even though i agree with what's being said by many of them about the saint. pop, please for the love of god, stop allowing anonymous posters. so many regulars don't post anymore because this site has become bogged down with people who don't have the courage to post under a "real" moniker...

no doubt comment 17. i am so sick of problems at home going ignored. i know more unemployed people than employed. dont get me started on the usas need to help the world but ignore its own. "i just wish everyday americans (unemployed, homeless, in poor communities across the country) got the same kind of attention that darfur, haiti, and other international places get."

^ You don't mind her going to Haiti??? Really, do you have that much clout? Wow I'm impressed. Angelina is a UN Goodwill Ambassador and she takes this designation very seriously. If there is a photo op is because she does bring what is going on right here right now. Discussion of the tragic circumstance and the plight of the Haitian people. Also the Dominican Republic has helped immensely and they also need to be recognized and applauded. This has nothing to do with sainthood or Princess Diana it has to do with caring for another human rather than ourselves.

So Angelina has to donate $20 million but it's okay for all other celebrities to give $1 million? Other celebrities can go to Haiti but Angelina can't and is exploiting the situation? Why do people think this is logical thought?
