Back of George Clooney Still Has Facial Hair and Political Opinions George Clooney was back in LA and back with his mustache out to dinner at Dan Tana's in LA last night. Talk continues to heat up about George coming back to ER for the final season, with Noah Wyle recently hinting that the actor was trying to make it work. For now, George is focusing on bigger issues like speaking out against Proposition 8 recently passing. He said: "At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won't be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black." George is just one of the stars proving that their political opinions and involvement don't end with the election. The proposition is still being hotly contested all across the country, and we will see how much of a difference it makes. George took Trebek's stache and never returned to to Alex!!lol 'African culture for $100 Alex( I mean George) ROFLMAO SmuttyPop 8 years LOL Woe is me mentality, that would be the mentality you are trying to give homosexuals. LOL, you are still going on about the acts of discrimination against homosexuals as if no other group in this country hasn't faced some form of discrimination. I had a Greek boss, he told me stories on how he was harassed because he has an olive complexion. His father in law disowned his wife because she married him and he's considered to be white man. So your woe is me attitude is trumped by every other minority group in this country. SmuttyPop 8 years LOL now you get an alias... I am still going to ignore you because I'm a racist. :) This had nothing to do with race but homophobia and I thought I stated I support homosexuals in their quest to marry, but did not believe the issue should be compared to the Civil Rights movement. If you want to discuss that more, I would have but calling me a racist just went too far. You can type all of the "facts" you want, but that wasn't where this discussion should be headed. Well both of your examples ummm white men were doing the persecution. Now were the white men selected because they were just white, no. An ism took precedent ... religion or citizenship etc, etc. A white supremist or white anti-semite does not see you, because you stated you were Jewish, as a white person as themselves, but as a Jewish person someone beneath them. We could go and on, pointing out each ism in every cruel act commited in history, believe me there is an ism in each event. SmuttyPop 8 years Oh damn I missed the part I was racists because I said they were white men... I'm ,I'm actually in tears for laughing so hard. Had I read that I wouldn't have responded to you. Have a nice life. :) SmuttyPop 8 years There isn't a group on this earth except for white men, that hasn't been persecuted in the name of someone's God. Save that argument please. SmuttyPop 8 years LOL... Ummm sodomy laws were for everyone, not just honosexuals. There were quite a few hetero thrown into jail for that mess. Married hetero as well. I guess Mr.Bird being dragged down the road a few years back tells you how far African-Americans have come as well. Gee let's not forget the African-Americnas falsely accused of crimes being released. Sheesh. Ummm how about racists ass white men would that make you feel better? Had I said racists then I would be labeled a complainer. :)Well they are stupid if they can't tell the difference between an African-American woman and an Arab woman (Middle Eastern I'm unfamiliar of the pc term) Well you can check my employee records, I had to be sent home because I had a breakdown, but who wouldn't have had one after that. I could care less if you believe me. :) SmuttyPop 8 years UGH...I probably shouldn't respond being African-American and all, but IT IS NOT THE SAME. THE ONLY RIGHT HOMOSEXUALS ARE BEING DENIED AGAINST IS THE RIGHT TO MARRY, WERE HOMOSEXUALS LYNCHED? WERE THERE LAWS STATING IT IS OKAY TO RAPE A LESBIAN AND NOT BE CHARGED WITH A CRIME OR HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT, ARE THERE LAWS BANNING HOMOSEXUALS FROM ATTENDING SCHOOLS, DO BANKS RED-LINE HOMOSEXUAL NEIGHBORHOODS, DID HOMOSEXUALS HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK OF THE BUS, GO TO A SEPERATE BATHROOM, DRINK FROM A FOUNTAIN, WERE HOMOSEXUALS NOT SERVED AT A RESTAURANT. HELL hate crimes are committed against non-homosexuals, some stupid ass white men thought I was Arab and tried to attack me two weeks after 9/11. If I hadn't spoken those idiots would have probably killed me. Then they had the audacity to to call me sister as they were trying to apologize!!! Thanks to the Civil Rights Movement, homosexuals do not have to fight for their basic human rights, just their right to marry. Is marriage a basic human right ? No it is not. I believe they are being discriminated, but they aren't being persecuted. African-Americans were. African-Americans were being beaten by cops and still are, just because of their skin color that just wasn't a homosexual issue. I believe they are being discriminated against and will fight side by side with them if need be, but their fight is not even on the same level as the Civil Rights movement. AND I WISH PEOPLE STOP COMPARING THE TWO!!!!! And George Clooney's stache is kind of growing on me, especially with the hat on. bluesteyes 8 years I want a house by the lake too one day ! bluesteyes 8 years George looks a bit strange with facial hair, he needs to find a nice woman to be with :) I do like his gut and gosh he has good taste :) That villa in lake Como..oh my word, I would love to spend a week there, the problem is I'm not even pretty :) Black-Velveteen 8 years test: fuck skyslang 8 years Hi Mesayme. Not to gang up on you. But comparing the fight for gay rights to the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s is completely fair. You think gays haven't been harassed, bullied, beaten and and jailed for protesting? Did you know that it was normal practice, before 1970, for cops to raid gay bars and arrest everyone there, just for being there? That's just one example, check out this article for more information: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0194028.html. See Milk starring Sean Penn for more details. Today it is better, true, but these sorts of things still go on. Nobody is trying to diminish the struggle African americans have had to face, but there are definite parallels between these two movements. stephley 8 years Well, I'm glad he said it and I hope he keeps talking. clooneywoman 8 years i am not saying that i am against the same sex marriage , but sometimes it is just annoying 4 me to even to think about it , let's say i just did not get used on these kind of topics yet , so people cannot always be with every talked topic , so let's just keep our opinions to ourselves....... Mesayme 8 years ...never should have gone back to read it... would you like to preach to the Deacon now. Cause I am the choir. :OY: Mesayme 8 years cnyc... you've been on here to long to address another user that tactless. I don't feel like reading all of it. But you should read what you are responding to more carefully. Cause it sure isn't what I said. BTW, I couldn't careless who marries who so save the soapbox for someone who's against it. ilanac13 8 years well i think that it's good to hear that there are people who are still talking about prop 8 and all that - maybe there's a chance for something to happen. i believe that today in CT it's legal for same-sex marriages. anyway, i still love clooney and it would be interesting if he were to come back to the show for the final season, but that means that we NEED to see julianna too...right? Mesayme 8 years True. But no one's getting hosed with a fire hose or arrested outside the courthouse for protesting. My comment was that the comparison isn't equivalent. If he's going to speak he should do so in an educated manner as not to offend one group of victims to help another group of people. cnyc1a 8 years Mesayme : Um have you been living under a rock. How many hate crimes have been targeted towards homosexuals that go unreported committed by people of all nationalities. That f**ked up if you ask me. It is the same as the Civil rights that black people and all fought for. It is no different. Civil rights are for everyone. The only time they should be reviewed carefully if it's something harming someone or a minor . If you followed history closely when Black people wanted their rights and Blacks and Whites wanted to marry many churches quoted religious text because it was forbidden. The same is happening now. People often forget that celebrities are real people who before they were famous also thought about issues like you and me. Because they express them now doesn't make them any less relevant than if they were expressed by a political figure or regular citizen. hunter1riley 8 years Celebs, like the rest of us, can have political opinions. I just wish that they would keep them to themselves instead of airing them out in print and TV interviews. Emmygirl 8 years Homosexuals also suffer from hate crimes. Mesayme 8 years Sorry George, I hear you...but you can't compare gays not being able to marry to black people being terrorized and/or being jailed and killed. Please do find a more sensitive comparison.
