Back of Did Britney's Documentary Change Your View of Her? Britney Spears's boys traveled from LA to NYC yesterday to join their mom in time for her birthday tomorrow and appearance on GMA. Last night we finally got to see Britney's much-anticipated MTV documentary as she told us what she's been going through and what her life looks like these days preparing to release an album. If you watched For the Record, did it affect how you feel about Britney now? I think, based on my own experiences, that she may be Bipolar. I was diagnosed about a year ago and it took years of going downhill and doing questionable things before I finally got help. And I didn't want help when I got it. It was sort of forced upon me and it was the best thing for me. I realized how badly I had been living my life and am grateful for those that stuck by me. Britney seems to be going thru a lot of the same. I do see the sadness and again from my experience, I know it goes away. It is hard at first but eventually you re-learn how to live your life. It's like being an addict - you live your life a certain way for so long and it's difficult to change. She seems to have good people around her now and that is a step in the right direction. Go Brit! LilaBo 8 years Mesayme sure knows a lot about(and spends quite a bit of time discussing) someone he/she doesn't care about! Too bad I have to work, or maybe I'd join in the convo! jaan_black 8 years well, I think she's very sad internally but the circus that is her life keeps her entertained and not focused on her lack of "normalcy"....her babies are cute CaterpillarGirl 8 years I am sorry but anyone who goes out to starbucks, races around in your car without seatbelts, doesnt wear underwear while getting out of car....is ASKING FOR THE PAPS to stalk you. she knew it and she knows that now and she would be NOTHING without that attention. californiagirlx7 8 years Um noo, it reinforced my view of her. I know she is still a redneck girl at heart who has good intentions but is very misguided in her actions. couture-yourself 8 years Also, as for people saying she was complaining about being famous, she never did complain. That was something I really respected. Sure, she complained about the paps hounding her, but you saw them - wouldn't you complain?! Girl can't do anything. I don't care what anyone says, I love her. couture-yourself 8 years I loved the whole thing. I agree entirely with what AvaSofia said. She needs real people surrounding her, not people that feel they have to have everything be happy and upbeat all of the time. They need to take her seriously and be a real friend to her. Also, as for the country thing. She's always been that country girl. When she got a record deal, they made her take lessons to "lose" her southern accent, so she had the "California" thing going on. I'm kinda glad she's let the go for the most part. Someone also said they thought she'd dive head into another relationship, I can totally see that. I mean, when she said she'd love to be on an island with her babies and "a man". She needs to learn to love herself and really be OK with being single. Her boys should always be her number one. She still seems so sad to me, though. It breaks my heart. I wish she could be happy and have a somewhat "normal" life...minus all those crazy paparazzi. cnyc1a 8 years Oh and another thing I don't think Britney is sick I think what she's was battling was a drug addiction. I kept staring at her skin, her hair line, her body, mannerisms etc and she looks like she was battling a meth addiction or Oxycontin addiction. Maybe she can't say that because of the courts. cnyc1a 8 years With fans like Britney's who needs to hire a publicist. I'm starting to think she was never crazy and we are the ones who crazy for thinking that she is crazy and now she thinks we are crazy. This whole thing is crazy. I'm not a fan and don't think I will be. However with that said if you're going to be famous you have to know that with that comes Tabloids, obsessive fans, Invasion of Privacy, Paps, and alienation. You need thick skin. Go ask Madonna. Ginger 8 years "Justin and Christina" Didnt have mental disorders We don't know that. We don't know if Britney has a medically diagnosed mental problem beyond Narcissistic Personality Disorder, if even that. It's all rumor, made up by people who don't want to consider the possibility that she's just one mixed up self absorbed pop tart who can't stand not being the center of attention. And unless Kevin commits some horrific crime, it's doubtful he'll ever have less than 50% custody, even if Britney were to get out of conservatorship some day and be allowed unsupervised visits. Stacey-Cakes 8 years I think the documentary made me realize how messed up Britney actually is. She is not getting better, she just has good people controlling her every move and probably making sure she is taking her meds every day. She still does not take responsibility for any of her actions from the past two years, instead she blames bad people around her. She seems to think she had no role in the failure of her marriage or in losing custody of her children. magickofreiki 8 years what was really interesting to me was that her mother was not seen once or mentioned once in the entire thing...makes me wonder. I sincerely felt sad for her and excited for her at the same time. i loved how raw and genuine it was, but it does seem as if she's being pushed into making a "comeback" too soon. She loves dancing and singing, but is she ready to be promoting and touring yet? idk. Mesayme 8 years That's a lot of posts there... (read, comment, read, comment) well, it was fun while it lasted. :D Mesayme 8 years Someone compared her to Princess Diana :o I bet she's in heaven about to get kicked OUT for cursing! Mesayme 8 years I agree with Jillness. I can tell when they 'have' to tell their business because the media has lied on them or exploited an assumption. Those people I feel bad for. I TOTALLY understand. And then there's Britney. Mesayme 8 years :ROTFL: Remember when Bobby Brown was 'bipolar' which is why he uses drugs and cheated on Whitney of course. It's always something. The truth is they love the attention when it's putting money in their pockets but cry 'poor me, I'm a crazay' when it backfires. She's not the only one. Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, Jessica(s)...lookin' at you. ;) Mesayme 8 years ...even Weird Al Yankovich had hits...what's your point? Jillness 8 years There are so many ways in which she intentionally sells her private life. I think it started with her relationship with Justin, and the progressed to her 55 hour marriage, "Chaotic" with Kevin, and doing so much press with her sons. Her life is the way it is because she chooses to include the paparazzi in it...perhaps as a self esteem boost for herself? I don't know, but it is intentional. (I live/work/play in an area that gives me insight). There are so many, many ways that she could protect her privacy, and she chooses not to. I could go into very great detail about these options, but that would take forever! I will try to sum it up: At airports and schools, it is very hard to manage the paparazzi. Everywhere else, is a lot easier. Beyonce and Angelina and other major stars, for example, are usually only seen when they want to be seen (except for the pics of Beyonce on her yacht). t0xxic 8 years "Justin and Christina" Didnt have mental disorders t0xxic 8 years It made me feel really sad for her. Hopefully she will get her boys back and then be able to go back home and get some peace. Shes not gonna leave LA till she gets those babies back though and it would be hell to even think she could leave without them. The happiest she looked in that doc was when she was with her babies. Ginger 8 years The fact that this was all timed to promote her new album just supports that her biggest problem is her addiction to fame and fans. She is still putting that first in her life. Just like the Matt Lauer interview, she invites the cameras in to catch her moaning about being famous. Justin and Christina had a similar path, from Disney to pop star, but they manage to live full lives in spite of the paparazzi. I'll save my sympathy for someone with a real problem, like Jennifer Hudson, or people who lost their homes in hurricanes, or millions of other tragic situations. Audrey1974 8 years Oh, I do have to go on record as saying I agree with everyone else that there's no way she's ready to tour! Audrey1974 8 years I love Britney. I hate admitting it sometimes, but I really do. She may not be the best singer in the world but she has some catchy tunes. I don't know if it's that she was sad or extremely guarded, though. I may have to watch it again to see. I DO think she's bipolar...and I wish she'd gone into more detail about a lot of things. Oh well... PiNkY-PiNk 8 years nope. i've always loved her and always will. she's a hilarious girl (when she's trying on clothes). i hope she keeps getting better for herself and her boys. kelsen 8 years Briandiesel pretty much summed up my general opinion as well. I despise the paps' hounding of any celebrity.
