Jessica Simpson is on the cover of September's Glamour, and inside the magazine she opens up all about her past loves and her optimism for the future. The interview was conducted before her split from Tony, but Jess addresses the fact their relationship might not make it to the print date. While she's promoting her lingerie line again, she also discussed her new show The Price of Beauty. She said:

  • On her life experiences: "I don’t regret anything I’ve gone through. All of them have defined me as a person. If anything, I believe they were preparing me for the one I’m going to spend the rest of my life with."
  • On Tony: "I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that my life, as it is now, doesn’t change. I’m very happy and comfortable — it’s a great place to be in. If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love him, and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today."
  • On remarriage: "It was hard to imagine I would ever walk down the aisle again. It was like a death in the family: you go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself. Once you do that, you feel complete — and that’s the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person. . . I loved everything about marriage. I loved having a companion to wake up with and have barbecues with. But things happen and people grow apart. I don’t really ever talk about the divorce because it was a heart-wrenching thing to go through. It’s a very, very personal thing."
