Back of Leo Sets the Bar High For His Travel Companion Cool kids, Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli arrived at LAX yesterday after a busy few weeks. Leo stopped by the Armani party in NYC the other night while Bar's been promoting her hot SI swimsuit cover. Now the two are back in LA together, just in time for the Oscars where Revolutionary Road is up for a few trophies — don't forget to fill out your ballot for a chance to win a year of free movies. We'd love to see Leo bring Bar on a red carpet, though rumor has it her parents want him to convert to Judaism before things get any more serious. MartiniLush 8 years thisbulimicwar - I am sure you could find it (or something very similar!) at your local WalMart.... SUMMER285 8 years to:ilanac13 it would look wimpy to me, and i never would look at him the same way again, why not she changes instead btw, she doen't look good at all in those photos she's losing her appeal or they forgot to photoshop these pictures of hers, leo is too much for her they don't go together at all. thisbulimicwar 8 years well thats ur opinion but it still doesnt answer my question mrsld 8 years Thisbulimicwar- Step away from the blanket sweatshirt!!!! Save yourself!!! mrsld 8 years Pensa- I hope that I am wrong and someday you can tell me to eat my words, BUT we will never see a day that love is respected as it should be. And I LOVE your definition of marriage. I define love as resonance frequency (ok I'm a science geek) so it flows nicely into your def of marriage. Noise waves melding into each other...entwined souls...lovely thoughts. Thanks! thisbulimicwar 8 years does anyone know who that sweatshirt is made by??? i happen to love it PensaGrey 8 years Oh, I failed to mention, sorry... marriage to me is nor a legal or religious proposition. But a true marriage, as in a union of entwined souls...is just that. Anything else added to it or imposed upon it is a legal or religious proposition. For example: a marriage in the US is no more nor less than a 'married' couple in the Amazon or an African tribe. It's through ethnocentrism that we have changed views and definitions. When that changes; love will be respected as it should. PensaGrey 8 years If anyone tried to change my beliefs by force I would do what Jesus did...be crucified. :D Ain't gonna happen. :) mrsld 8 years Interesting. I think that times have changed and peoples view of religion has changed as well. In my parents generation you could not marry some one of a different faith. You had to convert. Now this also goes against your statement that marriage is a "legal" proposition not a religious union. I do agree that even believing in nothing is a belief but I think that people who are not devout in their religions may just convert to appease the family or future spouse. They can be indifferent just in a different religion then their current one. I can "argue" both sides all day long. My husbands mother converted to from DEVOUT roman catholic to marry his father. (BTW when she is stressed or upset she still prays the rosary!) I am the wife that bucked the family! I was sat down by my now inlaws and TOLD not asked TOLD that I was going to convert to judiasm because if I didn't then our children would not be jews (and presumably that would cause the end of the world) My response- convince me He didn't rise again and I will be sure to convert. I did not make freinds that day and I am sure that this is the reason for alot of other problems, but I did what I could live with. Other people may not have a problem with the change (ie my mother in law) PensaGrey 8 years You're raised what you are...no choice in that. But once you reach 'the age of accountability' which is different for every single person, you gradually diverge one way or another. My original comment pertained to the post... to convert just to please a parent so you receive some superficial 'now you're good enough' is bogus to me. If she were a different complexion she couldn't change that to fit in with the family. I don't see how love factors into the equation. NotMeAnymore 8 years You don't, which is a good thing. Good for you for having such a strong faith. However, that doesn't mean that someone else would not. I know a woman who was raised Catholic and converted to the Conservative form of Judaism, out of principle (she wasn't dating anyone at the time). People convert for different reasons. PensaGrey 8 years Note: I make no reference to 'religion'. I don't do 'religion' either. And 'faith' is a verb, not a noun so I don't refer to that in the reference to making a conversion. Lovely discussion though, thanks. PensaGrey 8 years I think any open forum is open, evidently. I assume nothing. To make a conversion you have to go from one thing to another. And even to believe nothing- is still a belief. It's a case by case situation. In my personal case, I couldn't unbelieve in Jesus. And I don't do rituals of any type, so I wouldn't be about to start-I'd feel fake. And I don't do fake either. But that's just me. I agree about consistency with children; I know that two similar beliefs can be combined quite well. mrsld 8 years Oh Pensagrey, This probably isn't the forum for such a conversation. There are alot of reasons to convert to a different religion. You are making the assumption that the person converting is devout in their own religion. Also, it is often times thought to be better to raise children in a one faith house so that there is consistency. jaan_black 8 years smile or your mouth will stay like that - Bar Ginger 8 years Was that a red eye, because they look exhausted. If she looks that bad in this hideous shirt, no non-model stands much of a chance in it. The religion things sounds BS to me. Her dad may wish.. and maybe she will only marry a Jewish man, but nobody should convert to a religion just for another person if it's not what they believe. PensaGrey 8 years I don't get that... so you say 'because I want to be exactly who I am to you now- only legally... I'm going to now *for legal purposes* pretend I don't still believe the way I have been. I'm now going to ignore my beliefs and rituals and pretend to share your beliefs and rituals." For me that's like one day 'deciding' to be a bird and live in a nest in a tree. How's that possible? mrsld 8 years Notme- It's her. She's had that hideous blanket sweatshirt thing on in pictures before. And I would hope no other woman would be stupid enough to buy one. Nice to see his face. I am surprised the paps got to him before he put his glasses on. LaurenG22 8 years Notme- I think her legs look more shapely normally because she is next to really emaciated models! That is bogus that her PARENTS want him to convert, like she is not her own person or something. NotMeAnymore 8 years Are you sure that's even her? Bar's legs are far more shapely than this stick. I may not like her, but I give her more than a few brownie points for having a great figure. That isn't her. As for marriage, I'm sure it was a rumor started by her PR team to keep them in the news. If they ever did get married, which would shock the hell outta me given how clearly uninterested in each other they are, I doubt it would matter to Bar whether he converts or not, and she strikes me as a strong enough woman to stand up for herself despite what daddy says. Nicky5 8 years yeah i know they have never gone out to pubic events together.if he does go to the oscars he should take her! (: ilanac13 8 years that's funny that her parents would be so adamant about him converting. at least they know that any babies would be jewish regardless. anyway, i hope that we get to see them walk the red carpet together, but i don't know if that will happen. it's not a typical thing that they go to events together.
