Gisele Strips Down and Talks About Tom, John, and Leo

Gisele Bundchen shows off all of her glowing skin on the May cover of Vanity Fair. In the interview, the supermodel has a lot to say about her new husband Tom Brady and her stepson John. While her words might cause some controversy, it sounds like it's all coming from the love in her heart. Here's more:

  • On falling in love with Tom: "I knew right away — the first time I saw him. We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen! We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other."
  • On finding out Tom's ex was pregnant: "It was definitely a surprise for both of us. In the beginning you’re living this romantic fantasy; you’re thinking, This can’t be true, it’s so good! And then, Whoops—wake-up call! We were dating two and a half months when he found out, and it was a very challenging situation. Obviously, in the beginning, it’s not the ideal thing . . . I think it was a blessing, because otherwise I don’t think I would have known what he was made of, and he wouldn’t have known what I was made of . . . Our relationship has become so much stronger, and I think I wouldn’t be as certain as I am today if it weren’t for that."
  • On John: "I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent. I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day."

To read what she has to say about her ex Leo and her plans for a big family, just

  • On Leo: "Leo is a really wonderful person. We still speak sometimes, and I’m friends with his mom. He still has one of my dogs. He’s done a lot for the environment, and I admire what he’s done. We know what we had; we were very young, and we grew together in a lot of ways. We were just not meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but I respect him enormously, and I wish him nothing but the best."
  • On her future: "I would like a big family. I love children. When you come from a big family, you see that growing up you’re learning how to share. Your sisters have got your back; you’re not alone in this—‘We all support you!’ Your family provides that; it gives you a sense of safety, and it’s a very grounding feeling. That’s why I feel I can fly away, because I have those roots and they’re so deep. This is what I want to have in my life. This is why you get married—you want to create those roots together; you want to give that to your kids. I would also love to adopt a child from Brazil. When you come from São Paulo, you see five-year-olds sniffing glue on the corner. You think, If you make a difference in the life of one of them, that makes your time on this earth worthwhile. I will have a colorful family, like a rainbow. I have dogs from rescue; they are all my dogs. Children are like little angels—there’s no way you can’t love them."

Gisele also reveals that she was engaged a lot longer than people suspected, while raving about Tom throughout the interview. The couple have a second wedding coming up this Friday, and it sounds like newlywed bliss came even before they said "I do."

I bought the magazine so I could read it in it's entirety and there's nothing controversial in it. If you cherry pick certain sentences then it sounds controversial, and we know creating drama is how the media makes its money. But then I'm one of those people who wouldn't believe the media if they told me the sky was blue. I guess it would have been wonderful if she said she HATES the child because Bridget gave birth to him. So sick.

Errr..comment #32, as a mom, I kind of find it offensive that you think that pushing a kid out of our vagina is nothing. I don't consider myself better, but dude, being a mom is no easy feat too! And don't classify us all in one category, I'm not attacking Giselle at all for her comment. When I heard it being said, it didn't give implication that Giselle as trying to claim Bridget's son at all! It's so unusual what a print words can be interpreted and taken out of context. I have no objection to Giselle's comment, by the way, the media is trying again to create controversy out of the fact that she said she loved the step son as much as she would her own child! I'd think that the mom would be glad to know that when the child is at the other parent's house, the spouse of his is actually giving such great assurance that the child will be very well taken care of. Isn't great to have co-parents who work well with each other and care about the family?

Not Me Anymore...Bridget has sole custody.. and Giselle even admitted they get John 50% of the time they are in LA.. how often are they in LA? Not often especially during football season. Tom and Giselle are less than part time parents. And it was rude that she disregarded his actual mother..not surprising but rude none the less. Bridget carried the little guy alone, gave birth alone, struggled through the 2 hour feedings, sleepless nights, why won't he stop crying moments where it helps to have a partner to lean on for emotional support. To equate all of that effort to I hope he has a good relationship to his mother.. huh? You mean the one who actually wanted him and takes care of him 90% of the time while you model naked? How big of you. :OY: No one is saying that she shouldn't love the little guy or that children do not need love. But be careful what you say when you are blabbing on about his actual mother.. I think she just kind of proves the point that most models should be seen and not heard. She should stick to what she is good at..nudity.

ljawgirl, I guess you are not reading all of the blogs? Also in the article Gisele said she would like to adopt a Brazilian child from Sao Paulo where there are so many children to be adopted or to be taken care of since their parents can not afford them. As these children age some of them turn to the streets as their homes. In that enviroment they turn to prostitution to spport themselves, their habits or their families. That is what the hell I'm talking about.

Zoorph! As someone whose parents divorced and remarried, I understand EXACTLY what you mean. For Heaven's sake Gisele said She understands John HAS a mother. Another word she knows she's NOT his mother, but that DOES NOT mean she doesn't love him as if she was his mother. Why is that a bad thing? I would hope someone loves my kid as much as I do. I recently saw some reports on the plight of children around the globe; especially in third world contries. I was crying. When you see little kids wandering streets all alone at night,(being preyed upon by sexual predators) searching for food on piles of trash, (contaminated trash btw), sleeping on streets corners all alone, it's really gutwrenching. I mean I support several charities, but I still feel powerless. So for someone to be making a big deal out someone loving her stepson too much is truly ridiculous. Do you know how Lucky little John is to have so much love in his life? Think about that.

One interview and "she can't keep her mouth shut"?!? Good grief....some of you commenters need to be writing fantasy fiction, 'cause it's clear you understand it!

Popsugar changed the pics? I saw it before and the second pic was not here (or it was?). And those "naked pics" are not here anymore. Well, I prefer these pics, I don't like those "naked pics" so much. Anyway, Popsugar should keep the pics.

Just gets to play with him once in a while? What a ludicrous comment. He SHARES CUSTODY. That means a whole lot more than "once in a while"

shantejam - do you realize that John's mother has done a lot more then "just brought him into the world"? Do you have any idea what it is like to take care of a baby? Be sleep deprived, tired, emotionally & physically exhausted? The sacrifices that one makes to RAISE a child? Don't forget that Bridget is the one who's raising this little boy. Gisele just gets to play with him once in a while.
