Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden continued their two-day trip to Dalarna County, where the princess grew up, on Tuesday. On the second day of their visit, the couple made their way to Älvdalen, the village Princess Sofia moved to at six years old. The pair's special stop came after Monday's trips to meet with kids in Borlänge, see the Falun Mine world heritage site, and spend time at a bread bakery in Landsvägen. At one point, Princess Sofia jokingly introduced Prince Carl Philip [1] to local well-wishers, saying, "This is the husband."
The royal couple's visit comes amid exciting news for Prince Carl Philip, who will reportedly be the godfather to his nephew [2], Prince Nicolas. Princess Madeleine and her husband, Christopher O'Neill, welcomed Nicolas [3] back in June, and the royal baby's christening is set to take place on Oct. 11.
