Prince Harry and Meghan Markle [1] got a head start on their holiday festivities when they attended Queen Elizabeth II's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. The couple, who are set to tie the knot [2] in May 2018, were joined by more than 50 members of the British royal family [3], including Kate Middleton, Prince William, Princess Charlotte, Prince George [4], Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Harry was spotted driving a blue Land Rover Discovery in a black suit, while Meghan sat in the passenger seat and looked gorgeous in a lace dress [5] and shiny lip gloss [6].
In addition to being the queen's annual luncheon, the event is particularly special for Meghan as it is believed to be the first time she is meeting a large part of the extended royal family. The former Suits actress [8] is also expected to attend all of the queen's upcoming holiday events at Sandringham Estate [9], which is a big deal given that Meghan will be the first royal fiancée to spend Christmas with the royal family. The holidays truly are the most wonderful time of the year.
