Good. There is no reason she should get special treatment bc she has people read her mail for her.

She should be treated like any other average drunk driver who gets caught. Her attorney will probably get it reduced to less time minus credit for time served anyways.

Well, she is a real person, and real people do go to jail, its so stupid how she can get out of jail because she has money.. so I definatly think she should spend a little time in the 'big house' .. plus it would be hilarious to hear about her getting her ass beat by the other women there! "And tell me how they got that pretty little face on that pretty little frame girl"..;)

If they let her off I'd like to understand their reasoning. Afterall if it were anyone from the general public the handcuffs would have been on the minute the probation was violated the first time. And this is a woman who can more than afford to have a chauffeur. There is no excuse other than that she's moneyed. And if that's the reason it proves that there's one rule for the rich and another for the poor. My main problem is that she can afford to have no excuses for any lapses. It's not like she didn't have alternatives.

Send her ass to jail! She needs to learn a lesson, that she can't do whatever she wants to and get away with it. I highly doubt she will go to jail, but give her the monitor and put her on house arrest. It would be a nice 45 days with out her! Please, please, please do something to this girl, please.

ktown-california jails are overcrowded enough as it is, what she did was bs but it also doesnt warrant a month and a half in jail. the average person without a record would get community service, a whole lotta fines and revocation of their license for up to a year. the prosecutor is only asking for these things to make her an example of how terrible DUI's are and to get publicity on how he is tough on crime regardless of celebrity but to me its a waste of taxpayer money to have her sitting in jail when she could be using her celebrity (god i cant believe i said that) status to be doing something that actually benefits society. by working with victims of drunk driving or something of that nature, she puts a human face on her actions. wouldnt it be good if we could hop a flight to anywhere,so long to this life, so much fun pretending, cause bad luck's never endin

i must admit i watched the simple life because im cheesy but she does deserve to go to jail these celebrities get away with murder, because in their lives money talks. pinkprincess

She totally deserves the jail time. I'm not saying this because she's a "celebrity," but because it was such a flagrant violation of the law. If you break the law, you deserve the punishment, no matter how "famous" you are.

:oy: jail will do her no good, its a waste of money she needs to be doing community service working with drunk driving victims, thats the only way she will get it through her thick skull wouldnt it be good if we could hop a flight to anywhere,so long to this life, so much fun pretending, cause bad luck's never endin

I really think she should do more time. Hollywood needs to learn that if you drink and drive you need to pay the price.

She's truly disgusting inside and out. While I'd love to see her in prison, I don't think it would do a thing for her. She's end up having personal guards assigned to her to wait on her hand and foot. No matter what she does, she always manages to get away with it. Its so obnoxious that celebs are so above the law.

I personally cannot stand Paris Hilton and nothing would make me happier than to see her in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit. She needs a serious reality check.

Of course her lawyers should be able to get the jail-time reduced. They are only after her because she is rich and famous. Regardless who they will get to be judge in the trial it will be a show trial on the same level as in the old days of Stalin. And in fact she has paid for her crime. She is doing the same kind of shit as other survivors from private teen jails, which had been locked up without a trial and conviction. Her jail was CEDU – a facility which shut years ago when they had to paid large sums to other victims. What are 45 days compared to a lost youth? Regardless of what her conviction turns out to be in the end, she will stay as a role-model for your youth. Of course we don’t have DUI in the same number you have on your roads, so the problem is a little far in our minds. Years ago we in Denmark choose to take this problem serious and introduce a legal purpose age of 16 years for alcohol and no lower limit for drinking. Our goal was that youth should know about the dangers of alcohol first hand so they did not get a drivers license first and then got caught up at the effect on driving while using alcohol. That tactic reduced the number of victims on our roads dramatically. You are free to use it in your country. Second off all she should choose increased jail-time instead of the bracelet. Another of your famous actors, which functions as role-model for your youth – Michelle Rodriguez – has told about the inhume nature of the bracelet. Of course people should not drive and drink, but they should be able to use soap and deodorant. Not being able to be in public or even other humans due to smelling and filth is in fact worse than being in prison. But the worst thing is still that you have NOT signed the UN convention of the rights of a child. Only two countries in the whole world have not made any attempt to start ratification. Your country and Somalia! Be warned: You will create new Paris Hiltons when the former survivors are released thinking that they just can do their crimes because they already have paid for it.

hmmm... I don't know if she will get it. I do think she needs to be punished, but I doubt she will go to jail. Plus, it wasn't exactly DRUNK driving, she had one drink, and she wasn't aware that her license was taken away. I honestly think that if she knew, she wouldn't have been driving she is photographed ALL THE TIME! ****************************************** Is butter a carb?
