Truer words have never been spoken by Mr. Robot star (and the Internet's newest crush) Rami Malek, who — despite not winning in his nominated category [1], outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series — had an insanely great night at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards. He shared his experience as an aspiring actor.

Rami and other SAG members opened the ceremony by reminiscing about their start in the industry. "When I was a kid, I used to lock myself in the bathroom and create a collection of characters — I thought I was insane. I’m not insane; I’m an actor," he told viewers.

Naturally, he coordinated outfits with Susan Sarandon.

You know how the old riddle goes: what's black, white, and ridiculously good-looking all over? Rami and Susan, that's who.

He looked dapper alongside double SAG Award winner Idris Elba.

Obviously, there were no hard feelings when Idris took home the honors for their category.

He proved that family is everything.

The Mr. Robot cutie, who brought his mom as his date to the Golden Globes show in early January, took time to wish her a happy birthday while on the red carpet. And the best son award goes to . . . Rami Malek!

He helped Bryan Cranston get his cufflinks juuuuuust right.

Perhaps Cranston was able to share advice about starring in a megapopular TV show while he and Malek made their wardrobe adjustments.

And he's only just getting started!

With multiple Critics' Choice Awards and a People's Choice Award nomination under his belt, we wouldn't be surprised if Rami was honored at the 2016 Emmy Awards later this season.
