Before taking home the Academy Award for best original song, John Legend [1] and Common gave one of the most moving performances in Oscars history [2] on Sunday night when they sang "Glory" from the film Selma. They took to the stage — which was made to look like a replica of the streets of Selma, AL, complete with a model of the Edmund Pettus Bridge — along with a group of backup singers who re-created the famous march that Martin Luther King, Jr. led through the streets of the small town back in 1965. Common and John put on such a powerful show that many of the A-listers in the audience, including Selma star David Oyelowo and the movie's producer Oprah Winfrey [3], were literally moved to tears; the camera panned to David as John and Common received a standing ovation from the crowd, and the actor was visibly shaken, with even Oprah asking, "Are you OK?" Chris Pine [4] was also caught on camera with tears streaming down his face. Keep reading to see photos and GIFs of the heartwarming reactions to John Legend and Common's Oscar win.
