The star donned a colorful gown to celebrate the best in entertainment. Sandra's fans voted with force, helping the actress win four Waterford Crystal trophies in total, including favorite comedic movie actress and dramatic movie actress. As it turns out, Sandra's stiffest competition was herself. She was nominated twice in the favorite movie duo category: first for her chemistry with George Clooney [2] in Gravity and second for her comedic gold with Melissa McCarthy in The Heat. Ultimately, Sandra's silver-screen moments with Melissa won out.

The actress found herself among a distinguished group of women in the spotlight at the Palm Springs Film Festival [3] over the weekend, but despite all her success, Sandra doesn't take her public image too seriously. She used her acceptance speech at the festival's gala to joke about what happened when she googled herself [4].
