This week, thirteen years after the tragic events of 9/11, people across America gathered for remembrance memorials, paying tribute to the 2,996 people who lost their lives. In NYC, the World Trade Center Tribute in Light lit up the skyline for the anniversary, and visitors flocked to the memorial, many of them leaving flowers and flags in memory of loved ones. Meanwhile, in Washington DC, President Barack Obama was joined by First Lady Michelle Obama [1] and Vice President Joe Biden [2] for a moment of silence at the White House.
