Shannen Doherty is currently facing a tough and heartbreaking battle with breast cancer, but she made it known on Tuesday that her loved ones are getting her through. The actress, who first revealed her diagnosis in August 2015, posted a beautiful message for her husband, film producer Kurt Iswarienko, on Instagram alongside a photo from their 2011 wedding. Shannen explained that she accepted the "7 day #loveyourspousechallenge" from friend Sarah Michelle Gellar, which has people post sweet things about their spouse on social media for a week. "Our wedding was exceptional and not for the big event it was. It was exceptional because we committed for better or worse, in sickness or in health to love and cherish one another," Shannen wrote. "Those vows have never meant more than they do now. Kurt has stood by my side thru sickness and makes me feel more loved now than ever. I would walk any path with this man. Take any bullet for him and slay every dragon to protect him. He is my soul mate. My other half. I am blessed."
The couple, who will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary [2] on Oct. 15, recently showed off their close bond when they attended the Stand Up to Cancer event [3] in LA earlier this month. Kurt was also by Shannen's side when she bravely documented the process of shaving her head [4] on social media in July. In addition to Kurt, Shannen's former Charmed costar Rose McGowan has also been vocal about offering her support [5].
