Shannen Doherty is currently battling cancer [1], but that isn't stopping her from living her life. The actress, who tied the knot with film producer Kurt Iswarienko [2] in October 2011, escaped to Mexico earlier this week to celebrate her five-year wedding anniversary, and, fortunately for us, she's shared a handful of photos from her trip on Instagram. On Thursday, Shannen uploaded a snap of her and Kurt at the airport [3], captioning it, "And the adventure begins..... on way to celebrating 5th year of marriage with @kurtiswarienko. Official date is October 15."

On Saturday, she posted a shot of her and her husband petting a zebra [4], and along with the picture, Shannen penned a touching tribute to Kurt [5]. "5 years ago today I made one of the best decisions of my life. I said 'I do' and married my best friend and soul mate @kurtiswarienko. Life has thrown us some huge curves and we have faced them together with strength, love, passion and a desire to stand next to one another thru it all. I have learned what partnership truly is with this man," she wrote.
