Video of Lauren Conrad Talking on The View About Spencer's Staged Apology on The Hills

Was It Wrong of LC to Expose The Hills?

Lauren Conrad was up early this morning to chat with the ladies of The View and promote LA Candy. When asked about Spencer's apology on The Hills, Lauren revealed that it was staged and she wasn't actually on the other end of the phone call. In the past she's said that the show's producers were pushing a Heidi reconciliation on her, and it's definitely not the first time we've heard about scenes being fake. On the other hand, it's still a little surprising to hear it from LC herself so tell us — was it wrong of Lauren to expose the reality show?

Just because a show made you famous or rich doesn't mean you can't complain when they make you look ridiculous/pathetic etc. Give her a break people.

I still like LC and thought she was sweet and totally polite when I met her.

She's smart. She always has a new project to talk about and knows how to use the publicity she attracts. I didn't like her clothing line, and I'm guessing she's not writing great literary works, but she understands how to sell something. If she stays so fashionable and likable, people might be buying her stuff for a while. She's had her own show for like 5 years or something.

I used to like her...back on LB and the first season of the Hills. Now she comes across to me as very insincere...well, and super lucky to have all this happen to her.

I don't think anyone cares that it's not real; the show is still popular. The public has known a lot is staged for awhile now, so it's not surprising the apology was fake. I'm interested to see how the season goes without LC, but it won't be the same.

I don't think it was wrong of would be stupid of her to lie about The Hills now that she no longer appears on it. I think she does appreciate that it is what made her famous, but I think there is probably a bit of bad blood between her and the producers, and she just no longer cares about protecting the reputation of The Hills - besides, it's not like anyone thought it was real anyways!

she is just trying to get more attention to have more copies of her book sold here. isn't this whole book promotion all about? everyone in the Hills is lame anyway. keep starting dramas to make their 15 mins longer

I'm glad she exposed yet another lie. What the f*ck is the obsession with manufacturing stories?

Everyone knows that show is fake. LC had no choice but to tell the truth after Spencer went and talked about how insincere his apology was in the first place. Well LC never received an apology and she didnt want to lie. The interviews should spent more time talking about her book and less about stupid speidi
