And yes John M. does make crazy faces when he plays. But as for this performance, it actually sounded pretty good.

Yeah they put on a good show, especially with the little girl at the end. Now I hope the media begins to shut up about this family. Who honestly cares where his leftover money goes, where his children go, and who their real blood parents are. That is the Jackson family business.

the microphone wasn't pushed in front of the girl. she probably told them she wanted to say something. and i was watching the news the other day and they said that Paris isn't a shy girl. And that Paris is the most outspoken and out of the 3 kids. And because people keep on talking smack about her dad. She probably wanted the world to know her father wasn't a bad person.

when you see the short clip here it seems staged, but when you saw the whole memorial you know it wasn't. Paris was very brave throughout the event and clearly wanted to say something. especially after watching her uncle speak too. it even seemed to me like Prince Michael wanted to say something too but there wasn't time. I thought the kids were very tough and behaved well. I just watched home videos about Michael's life on youtube (from fox) and saw that michael chewed gum the same way Prince and Blanket did; it seemed sweet then. I thought Blanket was absolutely adorable with his doll and you could tell he wasn't used to the crowd because he was hiding behind his booklet. also, to the other people who say they pushed the children to the front of the stage: Blanket was hiding behind his sister and aunt Latoya the whole time and they didn't make him stand in front so they weren't pushed. it is clear that these children love the Jackson family and deserve to be raised by them. it was a beautiful memorial and worthy way to show last respect to the king of pop

everything was absolutely beautiful...Stevie Wonder's brief words and song made me sad and of course his daughter :( they're a tight family, I honestly believe that...and I feel horrible about this whole thing...I hope his kids grow up knowing that he loved them so much

well said, #49. As for Brooke, her speech was lovely and moving, but where was she during his trials? Where were most of these celebs during that time?

Brooke made me lose it too....i didn't know that they had dated until i read some articles yesterday.

i didn't watch the whole thing, just saw clips on the news. i lost it when Paris took the mic. regardless of what MJ was, he was definitely a father to those children and them being parentless is the most heartbreaking thing about this whole situation. he wasn't the King of Pop to them, he was their daddy. i'm glad she got to say something.

oh gosh, though his daughters speech was short, i definitely brought tears to my eyes. MJ is such a talented and great guy. May he be blessed now, on the other side.

#32, those are two very different things, I wouldn't compare them. Soldiers are important but they're not going to get massive coverage, because they are individuals and they have an impact more on the people in their lives-family and friend the most. CNN is not going to mention every single solider that is going to die. Also, i'm with summer285, it's not impacting on freedom, we already have freedom. MJ was one in a million, he really was. He gets so much coverage because he was a huge star, impacted millions of ppl's lives and gave so much back and was part of so many ppl's childhood and life in general. I'm not dissing on soldiers, but soldiers around the world for so many years die everyday. This is different.

I know right? Brooke Shield's speech and Al Sharpton speech was the highlight for me.

Like so many others, I broke down completely when Paris began to speak. I also have to applaud for Brooke Shield's speech, it was very touching as well.
