Women in Hollywood are joining forces on social media in celebration of Women's History Month. On March 20, Oscar winner [1] and Black Panther [2] costume designer Ruth E. Carter kicked off a fun challenge called #WomenDancingTogether when she posted an Instagram video of herself dancing to Beyoncé's "Run the World (Girls)." "Ladies! Let's have some fun for the rest of #WomensHistoryMonth and show the world when women unite anything is possible," she captioned it. She then nominated stars like Gabrielle Union [3], Halle Berry [4], and Angela Bassett to join in by posting a video of them jamming out to a song that makes them feel empowered as women.
Designer and stylist June Ambrose — who was also nominated by Ruth — shared a video of herself dancing to Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," and Gabrielle responded with a hilarious clip of herself singing Mary J. Blige's "Not Gon' Cry" while holding her 4-month-old daughter, Kaavia [5]. Gabrielle then elected Chrissy Teigen, Jessica Alba [6], and Tracee Ellis Ross to keep the capering going. Fingers crossed that this keeps going and we get to see even more incredible women show off their moves!
