With a catchy new album and a world tour underway [2], we find ourselves wanting to know more and more about him — while we are loving his sweet relationship with model and actress Jessica Caban [3], we are also curious about his family roots. The singer, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez [4], is pretty outspoken about his Latino heritage [5], but where did he grow up? Well, he actually helms from Hawaii! In October 1985, he was born in Honolulu to a father of Puerto Rican descent and a mother from the Philippines. After graduating high school, he moved to LA to pursue a music career, and the rest is history!
