Meet Andrea Casiraghi, the Latest Monaco Heir to Give Us a Royal Wedding
Pretty, young, Monaco royals are on a roll these days. Grace Kelly's elegant granddaughter, Charlotte Casiraghi, is pregnant and reportedly engaged to French comedian Gad Elmaleh. But before her baby or marriage comes along, her brother Andrea is tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo on Aug. 31. The wedding festivities have kicked off with a very dreamy bachelorette party.
Born in 1984 to Monaco's Princess Caroline and her second husband, the late Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi, Andrea is second in line to Monaco's throne. Andrea's parents married when his mother was already three months pregnant with him. They went on to have daughter Charlotte and another son, Pierre. His father died in a boat-race accident when Andrea was still a boy, and following his death, his mother moved the family to France before later remarrying and having another daughter, 14-year-old Princess Alexandra.
Andrea met Tatiana thanks to his sister when they were schoolmates in Paris. They've been dating for eight years. This past March, they welcomed a son, Sacha. After they marry, Sacha will become third in line to Monaco's throne, behind his father. Should Andrea's uncle Prince Albert have a child with Princess Charlene, however, the Casiraghis will be pushed down the line. As for Tatiana, she has a prominent background as well, as the daughter of the late Julio Santo Domingo, who was once the second richest man in Colombia. Her half uncle is also married to Lauren Santo Domingo, the cofounder of Moda Operandi and a Vogue contributor. Ahead of his royal wedding this weekend, get a look at Andrea and his prominent family.
