Although Ed Sheeran cleaned up at the Grammys, winning both awards [1] he was nominated for [2] — best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance — his fans were definitely more concerned with where the 26-year-old artist may have been, as he wasn't in attendance at the award show. While everyone else was busy frantically googling where the newly engaged [3] "Shape of You" singer was during the show, Ellen DeGeneres took to Twitter to share the answer: he's pet sitting [4] for her and Portia.
"I wish everyone in that category could have won," DeGeneres said of the best pop solo performance nominations after the award was to given Sheeran. "Congratulations, @EdSheeran! So sorry I asked you to pet sit tonight."

It seems Ellen was only joking because in the wee hours of Monday morning, Ed shared a photo of his cat, Dorito, on Instagram [8], explaining what he was doing when he won. "Woke up to the news I won two grammys last night," Ed wrote. "Thank you ! This little fluff-ball is doing a bit of a celebratory dance, lots of love to everyone xx." Everyone needs their beauty sleep, right?
