Would You Want Another Seinfeld Sitcom?

Earlier this week we heard the rumor that Jerry Seinfeld was planning another sitcom for NBC, where he would play himself in a Manhattan setting in the same vein as Curb Your Enthusiasm. Both the network and Jerry have shot down the rumors already, but tell us — would you want another Seinfeld sitcom?

One part of me says yes ID love to because Seinfeld was and still is my fave show ever. But on the other hand this show was so great that I am afraid the new show would probably just be a huge disappointment. I mean it is so hard to top something that was that great.

I love Curb and I love Seinfeld but I'm still thinking that Jerry probably shouldn't try to get back in the sitcom game.

Nooooooooooooo! I never like his show much, and disliked him even more after the way he treated Missy Lepine (sp?).

i love love love seinfeld - but i don't think any of seinfeld's costars were very successful trying to recreate their success and i don't think he will either. he should do more stand-up, another dvd - and enjoy his life / kids etc.

Tough call - Seinfeld is still one of my fave shows, and Jerry is funny, but I'm not sure how this show would go...

Seinfeld was awesome...but I don't think there can be anything better than the original. He already made enough money...so what is the need to make more?

I loved "Seinfeld" the show. Seinfeld, the man, however, has become a pompous ass. The cookbook debacle with his wife, his public ridicule of the other woman involved in the dispute (calling her a whacko and mentally ill on Letterman) I'd be happier if he just stayed at home and counted his money. A new show would probably flop in any case, just like the ill fated "Bee Movie". Watch "The New Adventures of the Old Christine" for fun now!

I loved Seinfeld, and I still watch it in syndication, but I don't think he should do it again. It would be like having the perfect house of cards, that you got right in one try, and then saying "well, one more card..." There's no need, and it could mess things up. @ flutterpie :: you got that right! it started off okay, but got more inane with each episode (to match its namesake, I suppose). glad that's over. :(
