Will You Call in to George Clooney's Star-Studded Telethon?

Will You Call in to George Clooney's Star-Studded Telethon?

George Clooney managed to get many of his celebrity friends to pitch in and lend their voices to this evening's Hope for Haiti telethon. It will be broadcast at 8 p.m. EST on a variety of networks, featuring cameos from George himself as well as Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, and many more. It's an amazing display of Hollywood's philanthropic power, so tell us — are you planning to call into the telethon?

I already donated as much $ as I could to the Red Cross the day after the quake hit. I don't need movie stars and celebs to be guide my moral compass, but I do appreciate that they have donated large amounts of their own money and fame to help motivate others to help.

I would have tried calling if Rob was going to be answering phones but it's apparently not the case so I will donate on my own.

I'll probably check in on it, but donate in my own way.

Whatever it takes for money to get sent. If yapping to a "star" gets you to open your purse then by all means make the call. I appreciate these people taking the time but it's hardly a big philanthropic effort on their part. A few hours talking to the people that made them, who are helping Haiti, is the least they can do. And I mean the least these rich and famous people can do. I am much more impressed by Clooney for setting it up and setting an example of giving, along with Pitt. Classy guys in that regard.
